This was one of the trees we planted when we built our current home. Over the next 15 years, it grew very big. Then it started to spread, dropping a ton of acorns every year. At the beginning of spring, it produced a lot of pollen. The entire surface area on the garage side was covered with yellow pollen dust.
After much debate, we decided to chop it off. These diagrams show the tree’s slow demise. It was sad to see it go, but now we have a much cleaner side yard.
